How many times should I get my ice machine/s cleaned?
Most manufacturers recommend at least once a year descaling and sanitizing. However; that is based upon ideal water conditions. If you do not have adequate water filtration to remove calcium and other contamination the machine will begin to show signs of production loss within the first month. If left unattended for lengthy periods of time the machine may fail and cause shutdown. Improper or inadequate routine cleaning can also void the manufacturer's warranty. Manufacturer's have specific and detailed cleaning procedures which, most of the time, are not followed by the average ice machine company. Have a professional clean your machine and access the water quality for adequate filtration. It can insure a long and production life of your machine.
